North End Waterfront Neighborhood Council
To Help Serve the Community
The North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) is an independent, non-profit citizen organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the North End / Waterfront neighborhood of Boston, MA. Working with residents, business people, local organizations and representatives of all levels of government, the NEWNC offers the people of its neighborhood the opportunity to participate in neighborhood affairs. The Council hosts presentations related to local matters and organizes committees to address specific issues. The NEWNC also, as an advisory board to the city government, votes on certain zoning, licensing, and permitting cases. There are twelve total NEWNC members, all of whom are elected to two-year terms.
